TSCS Office Hours
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
We are living in a very different world than we did 3 months, and even 3 weeks ago! We have been flooded with news about the Coronavirus and we are more conscious about germs and washing our hands than ever before. You may have a family member or friend who is ill, or fighting for their life because of this virus like a friend of mine is. We don’t know what the next few weeks or months will look like, but as Christ-followers we are trusting in the Lord for wisdom, provision, safety and grace for our TSCS families and employees, our community, and people around the world.
Although life looks different right now, we are excited to fulfill our mission to partner with you to educate your children! As a private school we can and will continue the school year with distance education, something that many Christian schools in Iowa and across the country are doing. Our teachers are working hard to prepare for this different way of teaching and are looking forward to instructing their students again.
As we move to a distance learning model, Tri-State will be utilizing various technological tools including Google Classroom. Google Classroom will be our primary method of communicating, teaching, and assessing student learning for 1st-12th graders.
We are providing parents information for how to log into Google Classroom so you can choose your level of parental control. Parents of younger students may choose to restrict access only to times that they are present and therefore not share email sign-in information with their child. Parents of older students may choose to build independence and maturity placing this responsibility in the hands of students. In either case, we recommend a conversation to establish your family’s boundaries and expectations for time spent online.
Distance learning for all students will begin this Thursday, March 26th. At this time students are scheduled to return to campus on Monday, April 6th. However, the coronavirus crisis is impacting life in such a way that things are changing daily. We will notify you of any change in plans as soon as possible. Although we would love to return to campus soon, we are also planning for the probability of distance-learning being extended.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support as we adjust to distance teaching and learning. We look forward to helping our students continue to learn and grow in the coming days!
We partner with parents to educate students from a biblical worldview for excellence in lifelong learning and Christ-like character.
