Financial Aid & ESAs

We recognize that paying for a quality Christian education is a sacrifice that a family chooses to make. However, it is our desire to assist families who want a Biblical-integrated education for their children by offering  financial aid to our families for the 2023/2024 school year.

Educational Savings Accounts (ESAs)

1On January 24, 2023, Governor Kim Reynolds signed the Students First Act into law. This law creates Educational Savings Accounts (ESAs) for eligible K-12 students attending an accredited non-public school. Tri-State Christian School is accredited and these funds are for our students.
The three-year rollout begins in the 23-24 school year and provides $7,635 for each qualifying student. In the first year this includes all incoming kindergarten students, new students transferring to TSCS from public schools and current students whose household income is at or below 300% of poverty. By the third year, all TSCS students will qualify. We encourage all TSCS families to visit The Iowa Department of Education's Educational Savings Account webpage for the most up-to-date information.

The application for ESAs will open by May 301 and close on June 30.  ESA applications will not be available after June 30 for the 2023-2024 school year. If you are considering transferring to Tri-State, please contact us to schedule a tour or start the application process.  We want to make sure you are able to access the ESA money for your child's tuition!
Email admissions@tscs.org or call us at 563-231-3701 for more information.

Financial Assistance

Those who don't qualify for an ESA this year may apply for financial assistance. TSCS uses FACTS, an online service to process financial aid applications.  (FACTS does not provide any scholarship money to our school.   We are dependent on fundraisers and donors to fund scholarships.)
To apply, click on the FACTS logo below. The application is all online and self-guided. There is a non-refundable charge for the application.  It is helpful if you finish your 2022 taxes before completing the FACTS application.  If you qualify for financial aid, your award will be communicated a few weeks after you apply.

STO Scholarship (formerly the Board Grant)
Families who do not receive ESA funding and need tuition assistance should apply for a scholarship through FACTS, then the STO scholarship.

To apply, complete the STO application (see below) and follow the directions, making sure to sign and attach copies of the required financial documents.
These documents should be submitted to the bookkeeper via the office or email (bookkeeper@tscs.org).
The financial committee will make a determination upon review of the request.
STO Application
Tri-State Christian School admits students of any gender, race, color, nationality and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school.  It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.
